On Sunday, November 12, 2023, the Houston Alumni organized a gathering. Over 40 Alumni were warmly received by Dr. Pierre Khoury (FM, 1991), President of the Houston chapter, and Mr. Pierre Moubarak (ESIB, 1988), Vice President, and Treasurer.
Dr. Khoury extended a warm welcome to the newcomers in Houston, emphasizing the significance of uniting as a USJ family, fostering support, and building connections among members.
Mr. Moubarak provided an overview of the current situation at USJ, underscoring the importance of backing the university. He highlighted the impact of Gala 2022, which aided over 50 students with scholarships. He expressed hopes for even greater success at the upcoming Gala scheduled for March 23rd, 2024.
Among the attendees were distinguished figures such as Dr. Roy Chemali (FM, 1992), Drs. Cesar Nahas (FM, 1983) and his wife Liliane (FM, 1983) and Dr. Elias Jabbour (FM, 1998), among others.
The gathering created a vibrant atmosphere, with Alumni enjoying singing and dancing, expressing their eagerness to experience a Lebanese sense of community in their second home country, the USA.
